Job summary
A local bakery company in Cookstown is seeking a Delivery Driver to transport baked goods to various locations. The ideal candidate will have a full clean driving licence and proven experience in delivery driving. Responsibilities include loading products onto the vehicle and communicating delivery issues. This is a permanent position with 40 weekly hours and a schedule of Monday to Friday, with one Saturday per month.
Qualifications
- Must have a full clean driving licence.
- Excellent time management and route planning skills expected.
- Proven experience in delivery driving preferred.
Responsibilities
- Load bakery products onto the delivery vehicle safely.
- Deliver baked goods to various locations according to schedule.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report issues.
Skills
To deliver freshly baked goods and other bakery products to customers in a timely, safe, and professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining the quality and integrity of all products during transport.
- Load bakery products safely and efficiently onto the delivery vehicle.
- Deliver bread, pastries, cakes, and other items to shops, cafés, restaurants, and individual customers according to a set schedule.
- Communicate promptly with the bakery or logistics team about any delivery issues, customer feedback, or route changes.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any discrepancies or delays.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Excellent time management and route planning skills.
- Ability to lift and carry bakery trays and boxes safely.
- Proven experience in delivery driving, preferably within the food or bakery sector.
- Be familiar with technology and able to use a handheld device similar to a smartphone.
