A Finance-focused company in Southampton is seeking a Finance Assistant for a 5-month contract. This role involves supporting monthly closing adjustments, managing supplier payments, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate should have recognized accountancy qualifications, 2-3 years of experience, and fluency in English, with French considered an asset. The position offers an opportunity for hybrid working and some travel to Luxembourg during month-end.
Within this 5 month contract role you will be supporting the Finance team responsible for AP processes recording invoices and processing payments and bank statements as well as assisting with month end closing process bookings.
Support Senior Finance Manager with monthly closing adjustments including but not limited to capturing the following:
The role is located in Southampton and also supports our Luxembourg office. Therefore we would expect a small amount of travel between the locations at month‑end.
Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individuals preferences and circumstances.
