A leading construction management firm is seeking a Senior Design Coordinator to oversee design processes and technical coordination throughout project life cycles. Qualifications

• An analytical approach to work with an eye for detail.
• Ability to review drawings and identify buildability and technical issues.
• Design delivery and assessing risks.
• Proven track record of design coordination.
• Knowledge of methodology and sequencing process in delivering a construction project including design and pre‑construction activities.
• Relevant Design and Build experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical and design processes, design teams and subcontractors throughout detail design, procurement and construction.
• Technical design coordination of schemes.
• Assisting Design Manager with reviewing consultants detail design drawings and subcontractor designs.
• Coordinating consultants and their deliverables driving a high standard.
• Providing support to Design Manager on job running.
• Ensuring fully complete, correct and coordinated packages issued to Commercial and Construction teams.
• Managing subcontractor and supplier design approvals ensuring timely turnaround.
• Monitoring subcontractor design approvals and keeping the approvals schedule up to date in line with the build programme.
• Managing the flow of information to Commercial, Operations and Client.
• Updating and coordinating monthly design schedules.
• Reviewing and coordinating design and technical related issues with the Commercial and Operations teams.
• Managing change control process for variations in relation to drawing revisions, construction programmes and costs.
• Monitoring and obtaining all critical certificates to ensure documentation is in place for completion and handovers.
• Managing the processing of information through workflows on the document management system.
• Principle design and technical contact during construction works.
• Monitoring work executed on site to ensure it is as benchmarked and as designed/specified.
• Managing, investigating and responding promptly with full close out to RFIs from site team and subcontractors.
• Reviewing and advising on corrective measures for identified design issues.
