Job summary
A growing construction business in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function. This role involves preparing management accounts, managing compliance, and providing financial insights. Candidates should have finance experience in the construction industry and relevant qualifications. The position offers a salary of up to £55,000 and a supportive working environment.
Qualifications
- Finance experience within the construction industry is essential.
- Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or QBE is required.
- Strong communication and organisational skills are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and cashflow forecasts.
- Manage CIS, VAT, PAYE, P11Ds, pensions, and CITB levy returns.
- Oversee subcontractor payments and purchase ledger.

We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing construction business in Huddersfield. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of the finance function and play a key part in supporting the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and cashflow forecasts
- Manage CIS, VAT, PAYE, P11Ds, pensions, and CITB levy returns
- Oversee subcontractor payments and purchase ledger
- Manage audits with external accountants and Companies House submissions
- Produce valuation applications, invoices, and rebate claims
- Provide financial insight and cost information across the business
- Finance experience within the construction industry (essential)
- Strong knowledge of CIS, VAT, PAYE, and compliance
- Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or QBE
- Detail-focused, hands-on, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Salary up to £55,000 DOE
