A prominent healthcare provider in Liverpool seeks an Endocrine Surgery Senior Clinical Fellow to work in their Breast & Endocrine Surgery Unit. This role includes responsibilities for surgical procedures, patient care, mentorship, and collaboration across various medical teams. The ideal candidate possesses full GMC registration, training in endocrine surgery, and strong skills in audit and teaching. This position offers an opportunity for both clinical and research involvement within a dynamic healthcare setting.
Applications are invited for the post of Endocrine Surgery Senior Clinical Fellow. The successful candidate will work in the Breast & Endocrine Surgery Unit with the Endocrine Surgery team at Royal Liverpool Hospital, Aintree University Hospital and Broadgreen Hospital. The team offers the full range of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery, including benign and malignant pathologies, open, minimally invasive and robotic techniques.
The post involves diagnosis and treatment of endocrine surgical conditions, providing pre‑ and post‑operative care, participating in audits, and collaborating closely with breast surgery, endocrine medicine, nuclear medicine, and the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology.
The unit undertakes approximately 300 thyroid/parathyroid and 80 adrenalectomies each year. The post-holder will have opportunities to participate in clinical investigations, contribute to national and international meetings, and take part in audit and research projects.
Medical students are attached to the breast & endocrine surgery unit. Post‑holders are expected to give clinical teaching to undergraduates, support nursing training and mentorship programmes for specialist registrars and fellows.

This post is covered by the Hospital Medical and Dental Staff (England and Wales) Terms and Conditions of Service. The post holder must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and hold a licence to practice.
