The Army Cyber & Information Services Operations Centre (ACyISOC) is recruiting managers to enable the operation and defending the Army’s critical systems, platforms and information, ensuring information confidentiality, integrity and availability in a rapidly evolving digital battlespace. We are currently seeking 3 Senior Executive Officer (SEO) managers to cover a number of roles within the Army Cyber & Information Services Centre (ACyISOC). These roles will operate within a diverse environment with a blended workforce of Civil Servants, military personnel and industry partners reporting directly to a Grade 7 Civil Servant. These roles will be pivotal in understanding, monitoring, and mitigating cyber risks across the Army’s digital enterprise.
The 3 roles are Deputy ACyISOC Manager, Engineering Support Manager and Cyber Risk Manager.
The ACyISOC is growing in maturity and the functions and roles are developing at pace. These roles have the opportunity to drive the direction of the ACyISOC and make a significant impact to reduce the cyber risk to the Army.
We are looking for people with a relevant qualification such as a Degree / HND in Cyber / computing or formal certification through a certifying body (CISM/CISSP). Qualification and experience from adjacent field such as information technology or service management will be considered.
The successful candidates main responsibilities will include:
Lead and develop your area of responsibility
Formalise activities by creating standardised processes
Act as a conduit to link from strategic policy to implementation
Reporting risk and issues
Role specific responsibilities:
Deputy ACyISOC Manager
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the ACyISOC, providing operations oversight
Team management and development of subordinate functions providing guidance and support
Security Incident Response assisting in the preparation and coordination of security events in a timely manner
Engineering Support Manager
Responsible for the management of engineering support to the other ACyISOC elements
Lead detection engineering
Enabling automation
Applying and ensuring adherence to security engineering standards
Supporting the tools and technologies
Cyber Risk Manager
Responsible for supporting comprehensive cyber security assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities
Using industry standard frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, CAF) and methodologies to evaluate, benchmark and apply appropriate CIS controls to manage risk within specified tolerances
Ability to communicate risk to a variety of stakeholders.
