Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Aberdeen (Head Office)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + package OR competitive day rate

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Overview

A leading civil engineering contractor in Scotland is expanding rapidly, supported by their strongest order book to date for 2026. With a reputation for delivering high-quality projects and maintaining a mature, flexible and family-focused working culture, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their headquarters in Aberdeen.

The company delivers a broad range of civil engineering work including earthworks, structures, drainage, roads, sewers and infrastructure projects.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial and financial performance of civils projects.
  • Prepare valuations, cost forecasts, CVRs and commercial reporting.
  • Lead subcontract procurement, tender analysis and contract administration.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC contracts across all live projects.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and senior leadership to drive financial efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers and subcontractors.
Requirements
  • Strong civils experience: structures, earthworks, roads, drainage, sewers, infrastructure.
  • Proven experience working as a QS or Senior QS in civil engineering.
  • Excellent understanding of NEC contracts (essential).
  • Strong reporting, forecasting and commercial management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive, professional team.
  • Based within commuting distance of Aberdeen or willing to relocate.
