Job description
Growth Strategy Director - EMEA
About Yonder

Yonder is a strategic transformation company dedicated to helping organisations stay ahead of change. We combine innovation, data, insight, strategy and culture expertise to empower clients to make faster, smarter decisions about their futures. We are uniquely positioned at the intersection of strategy, insight, creativity, and execution, partnering with clients to unlock new possibilities and take agency to shape the world around them.

Role overview

Growth Strategy is a core capability within Yonder, the ability to identify new sources of growth within and beyond our clients core business model, today and into tomorrow.

As a Growth Strategy Director will be as a senior commercial leader in our business, responsible for driving our offer and leaving a legacy for you, your client and our company. You’ll lead strategic relationships with senior clients, being a figurehead for our work at the most senior level, delivering measurable business impact.

You ‘create a following’, as a leader in our business, leading and enabling teams to deliver great work, and as a partner and trusted advisor for our clients, listening, inspiring and providing demonstratable impact.

You will play a key role in shaping an offer that will serve the growth and transformation needs of our clients over the next decade. You are shaping the first of the next, not the best of the last.

As a practitioner, you have mastered a combination of analytical and strategic rigour, deep insight, creativity, and commercial acumen. You are now using your leadership ability to help clients innovate and execute at pace. You will lead a team that will translate complex data and strategic insight into clear opportunities for growth and innovation, driving value and impact for our client partners and those they serve.

What makes you different?
  • You’re a founder, not a follower
You want a stake in the future, you exist to shape what's next, always seeking better —whether through new insight, methods or perspectives —to uncover possibility and express ideas.
  • You think beyond the obvious
Able to connect diverse signals, ideas, and data sources into transformational insights that reframe the conventional view about what’s happening today and what that means for tomorrow.
  • A compelling storyteller
Skilled at distilling complexity into clear, powerful narratives that cut through the noise, inspire, and drive action.
  • Confident yet adaptive
Bring strong convictions and the ability to articulate a point of view with clarity, while remaining open to input, challenge, and evolution.
  • Value obsessed
You understand value creation, you never stop challenging new sources of strategic, commercial, and cultural value that can transform our clients business.
  • A relentless source of energy and inspiration
You bring presence, momentum, and inspiration that energise both clients and colleagues, helping to spark innovation and progress.
What craft skills do you bring into the role?
  • An experienced growth and innovation practitioner with a depth of experience picked up from the fields of consulting, startup, scale up, client side or ventures.
  • Methodology rich while also method agnostic, you’re able to draw down on a range of tools and methods where appropriate to upskill the team and deliver great work.
  • A natural border crosser, you may have committed into one discipline or industry then shifted to another, thriving on the exchanging of methods and approaches.
  • You bring a strong commercial insight and commercial strategy lens, you understand how businesses work and how value is created, you are fluent in thinking through the commercial implications and opportunities that come from innovation and transformation.
  • You have a handle and ongoing curiosity around emerging technologies, not as an expert but as someone who can think through their implications for our clients and our methods.
  • A blend of deductive and inductive skillsets, that you use to both ground thinking in reality while also inspiring new choices, you could easily be at home in a VC or ventures firm, as you could in innovation.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
  • Lead and expand strategic partnerships with clients, developing long-term commercial relationships.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities through client networks, RFPs, and original briefs.
  • Collaborate on sector or capability leadership, working closely with other client leads to align strategy and offerings.
Offer Development & Market Leadership
  • Shape, develop, and launch new offers and solutions responsive to market shifts and client needs.
  • Translate complex market insights into clear, actionable propositions and methodologies.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to help bring your platform and new offers to market.
Client Growth & Multi-Disciplinary Delivery
  • Grow client accounts by introducing new disciplines and broadening service lines.
  • Oversee cross-functional delivery to ensure project margin, performance, and value creation.
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor, providing depth and breadth of insight across client relationships.
Team & Talent Development
  • Build engaged, high-performing teams aligned with your personal platform of work.
  • Identify and support future leaders through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations.
  • Champion a culture of delivery excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Culture & Internal Leadership
  • Contribute actively to fostering Yonder’s culture of creativity, excellence, and shared success.
  • Uphold and embody Yonder’s values in leadership actions and decisions.
  • Help to attract, retain, and develop world-class talent through visible, role‑model leadership.
