Job summary
A leading staffing agency is seeking a Catering Assistant in Stafford, United Kingdom, to support a busy kitchen environment on weekends. Responsibilities include food preparation, serving in a canteen, and maintaining cleanliness. Candidates should have prior catering experience, a Food & Hygiene level 1 certificate, and ability to work independently or in a team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for ongoing weekend work.

We are currently looking for hard‑working, enthusiastic people to join our client's team to work in a busy warehouse kitchen environment. This is a great opportunity that offers ongoing weekend work. We are looking for individuals with previous experience in a catering environment. As a Catering Assistant role can be a great stepping stone into other roles within the hospitality and catering industry, or other areas of work.
- Assisting those in the kitchen with you
- Washing pots/pans/utensils
- General food prep
- Serving food at the counter in a canteen environment
- Working front of house
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Keeping surfaces clean and tidy
- Clearing tables
- Able to work within a fast‑paced environment
- Able to work on Saturday's and Sunday's any of the working hours
- Punctual
- Able to multi‑task
- Can work well within a team and independently
- Can follow direct orders
- Polite and friendly
- Able to build good relationships
- Food & Hygiene level 1 (we can process one for you for free)
- Own transport
- Previous catering experience
- Knowledge of health and safety within a kitchen environment
