Job Title: Electrical Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial, and/or industrial settings. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, components, and wiring.
2. Install and maintain electrical fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, and control systems.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.
4. Perform routine electrical maintenance and system upgrades.
5. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and electrical codes.
6. Use electrical testing equipment to identify issues and verify repairs.
7. Work independently or in a team to complete service calls efficiently.
8. Communicate with customers to explain electrical issues and provide solutions.
9. Maintain service records, work orders, and job reports.
10. Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED required; technical school or apprenticeship.
2. Valid Electrician’s License (varies by state).
3. OSHA safety certification.
4. Minimum 1-5 years of experience in electrical service and repair.
5. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
6. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
7. Experience with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, circuit testers, etc.).
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and customer service skills.
10. Ability to work independently and handle multiple service calls daily.
11. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
12. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work.
2. Familiarity with smart home systems, automation, or energy-efficient solutions.
3. Additional certifications (EPA, manufacturer-specific, etc.).
4. NICET Electrical Power Testing Level II certification.
