- Design precision mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept to production.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings to BS8888.
- Deliver feasibility studies and present designs at key project stages.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to other engineers.

- Designing precision mechanical and electro–mechanical systems from concept through to production
- Creating detailed 3D CAD models and drawings to BS8888, including application of GD&T
- Performing hand calculations and FEA to validate both dynamic and static systems
- Delivering feasibility studies, cost estimates and timing plans, and presenting designs at key project stages
- Integrating mechanical systems with electronics, working closely with cross–functional teams
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure robust, cost–effective manufacture of parts and assemblies
- Supporting DFMEA and continuous improvement activities across design and development processes
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring and leadership to other engineers in the team
- Assisting with design of test rigs and interpreting validation results to drive design improvements
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or related engineering discipline
- Significant experience designing complex moving mechanical systems (e.g. gearboxes, actuators, powertrain systems, rotating machinery, turbomachinery)
- Strong CAD (SolidWorks or similar) and PLM experience, with a record of delivering full life–cycle designs
- Ability to apply hand calculations and FEA to inform and validate design decisions
- Knowledge of materials selection and a range of manufacturing techniques (machined, moulded, fabricated etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multi–disciplinary and international teams
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast–paced environment
