A leading roofing contractor in Exeter is seeking an Estimator for a range of roofing services across commercial and residential sectors. The ideal candidate will have estimating experience in flat and pitched roofing, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of roofing legislation. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits including a company vehicle and annual leave.

Remuneration: £45,000 - £55,000

Schedule: 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (some flexibility)
- Estimator position dealing with a range of roofing services across industrial, commercial and residential sectors such as: flat roofing, pitched roofing, metal & zinc roofing, lead roofing, green roofs and roof repairs
- Reviewing tender enquiries to gain an understanding of project requirements
- Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information required
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive prices
- Producing formal quotations to clients
- Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
- Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Estimating for projects ranging in value up to circa £1m
- Must have estimating experience within the roofing market sector
- Experienced in any of the following: flat roofing, pitched roofing, metal & zinc roofing, lead roofing, green roofs and roof repairs
- Sound understanding of roofing and building legislation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong numerical skills
- IT literate (Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel)
- Confident and articulate individual
