Job description

We are looking for Senior Survey Engineers to join us on a permanent, full-time contract and support our offshore survey teams.

As an independent contractor, we have delivered survey and positioning expertise to the global offshore industry for over four decades. With a diverse range of long‑term clients who require accurate, efficient solutions using the latest methods and technologies, no two projects are ever the same. We support our clients across various activities, including surface and subsea positioning, MBES seabed surveys, subsea infrastructure installation, as‑built surveys, and regular maintenance and inspection.

The ideal candidate will have a proven offshore track record in a senior position supporting offshore survey teams. You will be adept at reacting and changing to new situations and have strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. You will have good communication skills and work well as a senior survey team member.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the installation, configuration, and maintenance of survey equipment and data acquisition systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Supervising the mobilisation and demobilisation of survey spreads, ensuring compliance with project procedures and quality standards.
  • Conducting and verifying system calibrations to meet project‑specific requirements.
  • Monitoring the functionality of survey systems throughout the project, ensuring continuous data acquisition and operational integrity.
  • Collaborating with the Party Chief and survey team to ensure all engineering support aligns with contractual and project requirements.
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed technical documentation, including equipment inventories, field reports, operational logs, and handover notes.
  • Ensuring quality with attention to detail.
  • Ensuring client requirements are met to the highest standards and within project timelines.
  • Maintaining effective communication with offshore and onshore personnel.
Qualifications
  • Nationally recognised relevant academic qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Current offshore medical, survival and safety certification.
  • 5+ Years of offshore survey experience, ideally holding IMCA competency at the Senior Level.
  • Extensive experience with survey hardware and software systems, including Eiva Navisuite and associated survey equipment.
  • Proficient in IT and comfortable with PC networking, software maintenance, and system troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and AutoCAD.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Currently reside in the UK.
