Job Title:

Sales and Marketing Manager Agriculture - Europe

Summary:
In this role you will develop and execute the sales & marketing growth strategy for Momentive's Agricultural Adjuvants Business in Europe. Furthermore, you will develop, maintain, and maximize long-term relationships with customers and distributors, and work closely with Marketing, Technology, Product Management, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to execute the strategy and deliver profitable growth.

Responsibilities Include:
  1. Deliver growth at or above the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) with accountability for assigned accounts.
  2. Develop appropriate sales & marketing strategy and tactics to win in the targeted markets.
  3. Develop business into new territories, markets, and applications.
  4. Work together with external and internal regulatory teams to secure and maintain regulatory compliance for Momentive's products.
  5. Work collaboratively with Application Development Engineers to develop and manage brand-building and demand generation activities in the region, such as advertising, promotion, publicity, training seminars, and product demos.
  6. Work closely with the Marketing Communications, Application Development, and Technology teams to generate appropriate field data and marketing collateral to help drive awareness and demand for Momentive's Ag products.
  7. Effectively collect market intelligence and translate into robust marketing and innovation strategy to support growth within Europe.
  8. Define new product concepts and commercialize new products with robust business cases and go-to-market plans.
  9. Develop and roll out key metrics, dashboards, and relevant data that will need to be collected in order to make full use of the CRM-platform, ensure visit reports, contacts and other key data are recorded.
  10. Travel, arrange meetings, handle and grow business at assigned distribution and direct customers.
  11. Pro-actively solve business problems that prevent achieving sales targets.
  12. Ensure that Sales activity is in compliance with laws and regulations applicable to the region/country as well as with the Momentive internal policy.
  13. Fully responsible for his/her cost management such as Travelling, Entertainment and other expenses associated with sales activities within allocated budget.
  14. To be successful, this role will need to work closely with other members of the team including the Regional and Global Segment Leaders, Regional and Global Product Managers, global Application Development Engineers, Marketing Communications, and Technology team members to ensure that all plans and strategies are aligned.
  15. Collaborates with Global Application Development Engineers, R&D and Technology groups.
  16. Understands applications and acquires new knowledge via internal training and discussions with customers.
Qualifications:

The following are required for the role:
  1. University degree in chemistry or a science-related field (Bachelor or higher).
  2. 5+ years of professional experience in Agriculture Crop Protection or Agricultural Adjuvants Industries with at least 3 of those years in a sales-related role.
  3. Working knowledge of Ag market trends, customers, and technologies.
  4. Strong cross-functional player who can work effectively across teams and drive results.
  5. Proven ability to develop and execute strategies generating positive results.
  6. Self-directed and independent working style.
  7. Must be able to identify and bring to a resolution for difficult problems.
  8. Energetic, self-motivated.
  9. Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  10. Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned countries (around 50%).
  11. Requirement for a full driving license.
The following are preferred for the role:
  1. Marketing experience or marketing training.
  2. Multilingual.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office applications, SAP, and CRM tools (Salesforce.com).
