Deloitte’s Major Programmes practice (part of the wider Human Capital offering) is currently recruiting for individuals with industry and technical skills that can strengthen our capability to address complex programme challenges and create conditions for success for the world’s most impactful programmes.

Our TMT practice forms part of our Private Sector portfolio, which also encompasses Consumer Business, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Energy, Resources & Industrials.

  • Technology: The engine of global innovation, driving digital transformation through AI, cloud, and cybersecurity and providing the backbone of the global economy. Our work in this sector covers all aspects of innovation, organic and inorganic growth and operational transformation
  • Media and Sport: Including traditional broadcasters, OTT media providers, content creators and distributors and advertising organisations, as well as all our relationships with the sports and gaming industry. In a fast-changing industry landscape, we help clients with operational transformation, acquisition and divestitures and adoption of AI and ERP to drive enhanced business performance.
  • Telecommunications: We work with all the major B2C and B2B telecoms companies in the UK and EMEA, leading critical transformation programmes to build and operationalise next-generation infrastructure and services, from 5G deployment to IoT integration, as well as partnering on internal operational transformation and organisational development.

Our Major Programmes business sits within Human Capital – the world’s leading people and organisation transformation business. As part of a practice that brings research and analytics expertise together with deep industry knowledge, you’ll develop transformation and change programmes that are not only innovative, but deliver the most positive impact for all, and in doing so you’ll develop trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders.

Your Role as a Director – TMT:
  • Leveraging and building long-standing, trust-based relationships with the most senior client stakeholders within the TMT industry to understand their business challenges and transformation agendas, and bringing the best of Deloitte in helping to deliver against them
  • Being present and active in the market, bringing a distinctive voice and differentiated points of view to salient client issues, using industry and technology trends to drive a differentiated perspective
  • Manage and oversee our priority TMT accounts and relationships, including leading commercial proposals, the development and application of Deloitte points-of-view, and end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of transformation projects and programmes to the highest standards of quality
  • Building, cultivating, and owning a suite of internal, cross-functional, partner-level relationships to position and promote Major Programmes’ capability and offerings
  • Developing and leading go-to-market strategies, campaigns and proposals, collaboratively architecting multi-disciplinary solutions to unlock value for TMT organisations where they need it most
  • Forming and leading multi-disciplinary teams in partnering with clients todeliver strategically significant, large-scale, and complex projects and programmes in the TMT sector
  • Driving the development of our Major Programmes capability to ensure we are always at the forefront of quality and impact for our clients
  • Developing and upskilling our Major Programmes practitioners, driving their growth, and ensuring we are developing the future-facing skills required to meet the demands of our clients

Connect to your skills and professional experience

You should have strong experience in most of the following:

  • Extensive experience as an influential and effective leader within the TMT sector, including significant experience in a leadership role within a professional services environment
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and managing a portfolio of client relationships and accounts, including an existing suite of senior relationships across the TMT sector
  • Proven ability to build, convert, and manage a pipeline of opportunities and projects
  • Proven ability to manage all stages of commercial engagement, including proposals, contracting, and delivery, with responsibility for managing budgets, profitability, and billing
  • Significant demonstrable experience in successfully leading large-scale and complex major programmes from end to end, including technology-enabled transformation programmes (e.g., ERP, back-office tech) and strategic business transformation (e.g., operating model transformation)
  • Proven ability to architect, solution, and plan complex major programmes, including setting complex programmes up for success, programme recovery, formulation and execution of programme strategy, designing and operating delivery models, and leveraging technology (such as AI) to enable data-driven insights and optimise efficiency in delivery
  • Proven ability to work with global delivery teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Proven ability to work, influence, and advise at C-suite-level to deliver effective and lasting outcomes, including enabling successful transformation delivery
  • Proven track record as a thought-leader in the TMT industry and/or in complex transformation delivery, including the creation, publication, and application of points-of-view, perspectives, and articles
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to form and lead effective, high-performing teams in delivering against complex challenges
  • Proven ability to cultivate a followership, manage diverse teams within an inclusive culture, and support our people in their development

Personal independence
