A leading Local Authority in the Midlands is seeking a Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer for a flexible 3-month role, offering predominantly remote working arrangements. The position promises a competitive rate of up to £60 per hour, ideal for professionals with expertise in Adult Social Care legislation and prior experience in local governance.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working within a Local Authority.
- Knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation.
Responsibilities
- Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Adult Social Care Legislation.
- Prepare and manage a varied caseload in relation to Adult Social Care matters.
- Represent the Council in court and conduct advocacy when required.

Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer – 3 months + - Predominantly Remote Working – Up to £60 per hour – Midlands
Position: Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 6 months + (with the likelihood of extension thereafter)
Working Pattern: Part time hours, 30 hours over 4 days
Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote working, occasional office attendance welcomed with applications
Hourly Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and can demonstrate knowledge of Adult Social Care matters.
Duties may include:
- Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Adult Social Care Legislation, including, but not limited to, Court of Protection, Section 21a, Section 16 and Designation matters
- Liaise and work collaboratively with other legal representatives
- To prepare and manage a varied caseload in relation to all aspects of Adult Social Care matters
- Represent the Council in court and may need to conduct advocacy when required
