Job summary

A children's social care service is seeking a Youth Justice Service Officer to develop and deliver innovative interventions for children aged 10-18 involved with the criminal justice system. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team to reduce re-offending and support families. This permanent position offers a salary between £33,178 and £36,369, flexible working options, and progression opportunities. The role is based in North-West Hampshire or North-East Hampshire, supporting children and young people from vulnerable backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Experience in working with children and families, particularly from vulnerable groups.
  • Knowledge of risk/protective factors and parenting capacity.
  • Awareness of effective intervention strategies for challenging youth.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor the social care needs of children aged 10-18.
  • Work with children and families to prevent re-offending.
  • Collaborate with agencies to support children's reintegration into the community.
