Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking, motivating teaching assistant in Waltham Forest, East London. The school is a Three‑form Primary school with a supportive leadership team creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment committed to academic excellence and student success. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our educators and help students thrive in and out of the classroom.

This position is open to all qualified candidates with a passion for education and student support. Prior classroom experience is preferred but not required.

Contract and Position Details
  • Location: Waltham Forest, East London
  • Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant
  • Type of Work: Supporting teaching, assessing student work, lesson planning/activities
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Duration: 1‑term contract, may be extended; end of term 1
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time
  • Minimum pay rate: Depends on pay scale
  • Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday (term time only)
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience teaching KS1 or KS2 (preferred but not required)
  • Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the past year
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Eligibility Requirements
  • Valid right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child‑barred DBS and enrolment (or willingness to enrol) onto the DBS update service
  • Register and pass all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching to fill this vacancy
