KS2 Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Year 4

Full-Time | November Start | MPS 1-6

Location: Stalybridge

A wonderful and welcoming primary school in the heart of Stalybridge is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join their team for a full-time maternity cover starting September. This exciting Year 4 teaching role presents an opportunity to work in a school with extraordinary charm, a child-centred ethos, and a forward-thinking approach to education.

Responsibilities and Ideal Candidate
  • Have strong subject knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, direct experience in Year 4 would be beneficial.
  • Be confident in planning detailed, purposeful and engaging lessons in line with Year 4 National Curriculum standards.
  • Demonstrate skill in adaptive teaching methods, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged including SEND and pupils on EHCPs.
  • Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to inform teaching, drive progress and plan for intervention.
  • Employ effective questioning techniques that promote critical thinking, reasoning, and curiosity.
  • Incorporate ICT effectively into lessons, including the use of interactive whiteboards, iPads, and Chromebooks.
  • Be a team player, able to communicate well with TAs and classroom staff, and confidently delegate tasks to maximise outcomes.
  • Be willing to immerse themselves in all aspects of school life, including curriculum and parents\' evenings, and school events such as the Christmas and Summer Fairs.
