Job description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Class Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a key stage of children's primary education, helping to build strong foundations for future learning. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 4 Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
2. Use effective assessment strategies to monitor pupil progress and inform planning.
3. Create a positive and nurturing learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
4. Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and wellbeing.
5. Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers.
6. Contribute to wider school life, including events, trips, and extra-curricular activities.

Ideal Year 4 Teacher:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
2. Recent or relevant experience in Lower Key Stage 2 is desirable.
3. Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum.
4. A reflective and creative approach to teaching.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
6. Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusive practice.
