Pay Rate: £26,187 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 06:00-14:00 Monday to Friday (With occasional cover on 13:00 - 19:00)

We're now looking for a yard operative to carry out the following role within our busy Derby based operation.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• To assist with general handyman duties throughout the Yard as required, ensuring yards are kept tidy at all times.
• To assist with the onsite waste containers, ensuring that access to them at all times, and the use of them is not abused.
• Efficiently monitor and maintain the cardboard and plastic baler – Including cable checks, regular daily cleaning of the area and assist in bailing the materials, moving bales onto a trailer ready for collection.
• External monitor all bay doors, maintaining cleanliness within the warehouse for debris.
• Sweep and clean any spillages in and out of the building as requested.
• Monitor and empty bins located on site including the Warehouse and external areas.
• Safely distribute items/stock around the building as requested.
• To assist with the onsite skips ensuring that materials are correctly disposed of in the appropriate skips to maximise capacity and any recycling requirements.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a Counterbalance FLT Licence.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage.
