Job summary

A leading well services provider is seeking a Workshop Technician in Aberdeen City, Scotland. In this role, you'll support offshore operations, focusing on equipment maintenance and assisting with mobilisations. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years in a mechanical role, technical certification, and strong team skills. Knowledge of MS Excel and basic engineering drawings is essential. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years previous experience in a Mechanical related role.
  • Hydraulic and Wireline/Slickline maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings or documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in loadouts and backloads with the offshore team.
  • Complete equipment maintenance checklists per Archer's policies.
  • Assist in pressure control equipment maintenance and testing.

Responsibilities

Archer Well Services are looking for a Workshop Technician. This role will be based at Blackburn, Aberdeenshire and will support the growth of the UK Well Services business. The Workshop Technician’s role is to support our offshore operations in duties including maintenance of all equipment coming into the workshop, assist with mobilisations and backloads and to work within a team to ensure that work is carried out in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with ARCHER policies and procedures. Tasks will include:

  • Work alongside the Workshop Supervisor, Operations Coordinators and Offshore team to assist on loadouts and backloads.
  • Complete all equipment maintenance checklists in line with Archer’s policies and procedures.
  • Receiving equipment backloads and working with the maintenance supervisor to carry out maintenance processes in accordance with maintenance manuals and technical bulletins. Ensure quality standards are continuously maintained and followed.
  • Assisting in pressure control equipment maintenance and pressure testing in-house.
Qualifications and experience

Candidates should have the following experience and skills

  • High school diploma or technical certification recognised by industry
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a Mechanical related role.
  • Mechanical experience essential.
  • Hydraulic experience preferred.
  • Wireline/Slickline maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to work under own initiative and work closely in a team.
  • Have strong time management skills.
  • Be able to understand engineering drawings or documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word (Basic)
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
