We have an excellent position for a WordPress Developer within a charity based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The organisation provides support to past and present members of the Armed Forces throughout the UK and beyond.

About the role
As WordPress Developer, the primary purpose of the role is to increase engagement of the Charity with its audience via a digital platform. As such, you will work as part of a small, dynamic team, which engages with the wider Family. You’ll help plan, produce and implement content for Charity communication channels and publications. This can include taking/editing photos, podcasts and videos.

About the responsibilities
In the role of WordPress Developer, you will:

  • Develop an interactive digital platform as an extension of their current platform
  • Help to build out the current platform towards a closed social network
  • Produce and implement content, including editing video, podcasts and photographs
  • Increase website traffic
  • Implement website editing requests from the Charity team
  • Have line management of Communications & Marketing Assistant
  • Attend and participate in Charity meetings, professional development reviews and training events
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to the post, as required by the needs of the organisation

About you
To be successful for the role of WordPress Developer, you must have / be:

Essential

  • Extensive experience of WordPress
  • Experience and/or recent training in producing multi-platform content
  • Ability to produce and edit social media content using editing software
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative in a creative environment
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport (with appropriate insurance)
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality principles with regards to images and personal information
  • Experience of or affinity to military environment

About the hours & rewards
The position of WordPress Developer is for 30 hours per week and offers a salary of £29,000 per annum pro rata (£18.60 p/h).
