Welding Supervisor. Contract type: Permanent. Start date: TBC. Salary: Competitive Salary + benefits.

Join a leading organisation in the nuclear industry. We are currently looking for a Welding Supervisor to join our team at Sizewell B.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement safety procedures e.g. risk assessments, method statements, permit‑to‑work, improvement, observation process etc.
  • Oversee welding consumable control and welding stores.
  • Complete pre‑ and post‑weld inspections of weld and equipment set‑ups to ensure compliance with specified standards, procedures and work instructions.
  • Monitor hazard awareness, including continuously reinforcing Focus 2 Zero message for all site activities, including error traps and Focus 2 Zero Error Prevention Tools.
  • Allocate and monitor welding‑related tasks to those under his control to achieve required levels of performance and productivity.
  • Complete site welding quality records and traceability for consumables, materials and plant items.
  • Estimate, order and deploy welding‑related consumables and materials.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • CTC cleared or willing to undergo CTC clearance.
  • Full apprenticeship in a relevant trade or NVQ 3 or equivalent in welding ECITB SMTD modules as required, CCNSG Safety Passport or IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Certificate, CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector NVQ/QCF 3 (or above) in supervisory management.
  • Experience in welding supervision and related tasks.
