You will be responsible for welding various materials and fabricating sheet metal components based on technical drawings. The ideal candidate has proven experience and an NVQ or apprenticeship in engineering. Welder / Fabricator

We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Grays, Thurrock. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established company, producing high-quality shutters for clients around the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld various materials using MIG and / or TIG while keeping quality high.
  • Fabrication of sheet metal components to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Operating fabrication machinery (press brake, guillotine, rollers, etc.)
  • Measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling materials
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
  • Working to deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met
Key Experience and Skills and Knowledge
  • Proven experience as a Welder or Fabricator
  • The ideal candidate will have a NVQ / apprenticeship / B-Tec in an engineering discipline.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Own transport desirable due to location (preferred, not essential)
Key Information and Benefits
  • Competitive pay: £16-£18 per hour (DOE)
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Regular working hours, Monday - Friday (no weekends)
