MG Engineering is expanding and seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator (MIG/TIG) to join our skilled team. About the role

As a Welder / Fabricator / Fitter, you will be responsible for the general fabrication of our full range of products from small components up to multi‑story structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Steelwork fabrication
• Custom machinery and equipment
• Fabrication and assembly of piping skids
• On‑site installation, fitting, and maintenance

About you

Experience within a fabrication workshop environment is essential for this role. In addition, you will possess the following key skills and experience:

• Competency in welding/fabrication of mild steel. (essential)
• MIG Welding, TIG Welding (essential)
• Time served to a minimum of NVQ level preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a related industry
• Ability to read engineering drawings, produce cutting lists, and then produce fabrications unaided
• Competent in the use of workshop machinery – saws, grinders, drills, etc.
• Competency in welding/fabrication of Stainless Steel. (advantageous)
• Experience using a CNC Guillotine and CNC Brake Press (advantageous)
• Site work experience (advantageous)
