Job description
Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join one of our clients on a 2-3 week temporary contract based in Worsley, Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a MIG Welder with proven fabrication skills to support a busy workshop during a peak period. The successful candidate will be confident working with mild steel, stainless steel, structural steel and aluminium, able to work from technical drawings to produce accurate, high-quality work.

Benefits

Benefit from a 4 day working week! Core hours of Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Overtime is available on Friday and Saturday until 12:00 pm paid at time and a half, and on Sundays at double time.

Responsibilities
  • Producing and welding bespoke and one-off projects to specification.
  • Inspecting welds to ensure accuracy and maintain quality standards.
  • Assisting with fitting and installation of fabricated components.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings to complete fabrication tasks.
  • Looking after welding equipment and keeping the work area safe and organised.
What We're Looking For
  • Ability to follow drawings and written instructions independently.
  • Previous experience in MIG welding and general fabrication.
  • A reliable, proactive approach with a strong work ethic.
  • Good knowledge of workshop safety procedures.
