Job summary

A leading sheet metal manufacturer is seeking a Night Shift MIG Welder for a full-time role. Responsibilities include MIG welding to specifications and interpreting engineering drawings. Candidates should be competent in MIG Welding and ideally have experience with TIG Welding. Benefits include a company pension, ongoing training, and 33 days of holiday including Bank Holidays. Competitive pay of £14.50 p/h plus overtime rates apply.

Overview

CEL Sheetmetal, based in Telford, Shropshire, specialises in high-speed laser cutting, precision engineering and full metal fabrication. With state-of-the-art automated technology running 24/7, we deliver fast, cost-effective and high-quality solutions. We are now looking for a Night Shift MIG Welder to join our team. Join us and be part of a leading sheet metal manufacturer.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG welding on night shift to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Qualifications
  • Competent in MIG Welding.
  • Be fully time served or qualified (a weld test will be carried out on interview).
  • Experience with various thickness materials.
  • TIG Welding would be an advantage (but not essential).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Hours and Pay
  • Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 16:30 - 05:00
  • Hours: 48 hours per week
  • £14.50 p/h for first 39 hours, then x1.33 for remaining 9 hours
  • Overtime available (not mandatory)
  • Overtime rates: Weekdays x1.33, Saturday x1.5, Sunday x2
