Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for a Trainee Electronics Assembler to work weekends in Greenwich. Candidates will undertake assembly processes, follow engineering drawings, and wire control panels. Training is provided in a busy manufacturing environment, and shifts include both days and nights. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be prepared for an assessment day followed by an interview. This is an ongoing contract with flexible hours.

  • Undertake assembly processes, ensuring adherence to ESD product disciplines.
  • Follow engineering drawings to assemble mechanical racking systems.
  • Build, assemble, and install modules for the suites.
  • Wire control panels and complete wiring as per drawings.
  • Conduct component soldering and PCB building.

Weekends Mechanical Assembler

Days & Nights shifts, Friday – Sunday

33 hours per week

Pay: £14.97 – £18.00 per hour

Location: Greenwich, SE10

Contract: Ongoing

Initial training: 3 weeks, Monday – Thursday 06:00 – 17:45

Working in a busy manufacturing & production area of a large engineering company. Join a world-renowned specialist.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested.
  • Following Engineering drawings to assemble the mechanical racking systems, sub assembly and wiring of all connections.
  • Building, assembling and installation of modules that make up the suites.
  • Rack wiring completed for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing.
  • Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles.
  • Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools.
  • Component & D-type connector soldering.
  • Electrical/Prototype Wiring.
  • PCB Building.
Hours of Work

The successful Trainee Electronics Assembler will be required to work shifts of both Days & Nights, on a 2-week rotation.

Day shifts (x2 weeks)

Friday – Sunday 06:00 – 17:45

Night shifts (x2 weeks)

Friday – Sunday 18:00 – 05:45

Full training will be provided. Candidates invited to an assessment day for Maths, English and instruction-based manufacturing test. We will discuss role and company.
