Job summary

A community support organization in Manchester is seeking dedicated staff for their supported accommodation project aimed at helping single men out of homelessness. Job description
Overview

Morning Star is a supported accommodation project which offers a pathway out of homelessness for single men. It provides high-quality, single-room accommodation for 20 single men, which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality customer service to residents at the Morning Star accommodation project.
  • Provide a friendly and professional welcome to residents coming in and out of the building and spend time with residents in the communal areas.
  • Facilitate a daily activity for the residents (e.g., cooking, gardening or social activities).
  • Be responsible for the security of the building, including building checks, dealing with emergencies, answering telephone calls, monitoring CCTV and undertaking minor domestic tasks.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service, IT and admin skills and a positive approach to team working.
  • Experience of working with people that are homeless and may be vulnerable or disadvantaged groups in a residential/similar setting is essential.
  • Experience of working with people that are homeless in supported housing.
Hours

The hours of the role are 8:45am to 21:15pm Saturday and Sunday.
