A leading defense organization is seeking a Requirements Management Officer (RMO) in Bristol. This dynamic role involves managing technical specifications for weapon systems, coordinating with stakeholders and suppliers, and ensuring product compliance with project goals. The ideal candidate will engage early in the project lifecycle, ensuring stakeholder needs are clarified and technical progress is demonstrated. Circa £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working : 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The role of an RMO is to be the technical interface with the Design Authority (external or internal) of weapons system equipment in order to ensure the consistency of the weapon system equipment with system performance and project commitments.
The RMO will need to coordinate the work packages for both internal and external suppliers to develop products. Ensuring that cost, deadlines and technical choices, are in accordance with the specifications.
This is a varied role ranging from developing requirements with stakeholders, spending time in a design lab and supporting the acceptance of our Weapon System products.
The performance sub-system RMO will be responsible for delivery of the Data‑Logging and Monitoring (DLM) Sub‑system and Image Processing and Control, Processing Unit (IPPU). The DLM Sub‑system consists of 3 pieces of equipment were as the IPPU is a single piece of equipment.
This role will be focused on the hardware delivery and physical certification aspects of these systems. Although an understanding of how these sub‑systems work will also be required to support product delivery, which includes the software product.
These sub‑systems will be housed in other‑subsystem so understanding of assemblies and certification boundaries would be desirable.
