Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is looking to expand their existing Waste Portering team to provide an efficient and high quality waste portering service at our Southend Hospital Site.
These vital posts will be part of a team of staff undertaking a number of different roles which include transportation of different waste streams and faulty equipment around the site to facilitate the smooth running of the clinical departments and the hospital.
The job is physical in nature to include the transportation of waste, internally and externally. You will be working in a clinical service environment and it will require good communication skills. You will need to have the ability to respond to emergency calls in a calm and professional manner.
The role available is a full‑time post that will be on a shift‑based rota as a waste porter. Previous experience of working in a waste portering role within a hospital environment would be an advantage.
