She is working with a Local Authority in Nottingham who are looking to appoint skilled Waste & Cleaning Drivers who hold a valid HGV 2 licence to help and deliver vital waste, recycling and cleansing services across Nottingham. From refuse collection to gritting and sweeping, you’ll drive specialist vehicles and lead a small, dedicated crew making a real difference every single day.

What You’ll Need:

  • Valid Class 2 HGV Driving Licence
  • Experience with refuse trucks, gritters, or sweepers ideal
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • A passion for public service
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety and road safety in busy environments
  • Confidence to lead a small crew, delegate tasks, and manage route performance
  • Ability to use in-cab systems and digital devices to record service updates and incidents
  • Great communication skills for teamwork and polite interaction with the public
  • Flexibility & physical fitness – comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weather
  • A passion for cleanliness, customer service, and representing the Council with pride
