Job description

Purpose of the Role

As a Picker at Leader Online, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting, handling, and preparing stock for dispatch using warehouse equipment including Reach Trucks. You will work in a fast-paced environment to ensure service level targets are met efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Order Picking & Fulfilment: Accurately pick stock according to instructions, OTIP targets, and dispatch requirements. Operate Reach Trucks safely to retrieve stock from various heights and locations. Ensure items are correctly labelled, packed, and prepared for dispatch. Use handheld scanners and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to log picked items.
  2. Stock Handling & Storage: Transport and store stock safely, banding and wrapping as needed. Assist in replenishing picking areas from bulk storage. Conduct inventory counts and stock checks to maintain accuracy.
  3. Goods In & Out: Support unloading incoming deliveries and loading outbound shipments. Conduct visual quality checks to ensure stock is damage-free and matches delivery notes.
  4. Health, Safety & Compliance: Operate all equipment, including Reach Trucks, following safety protocols and training. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring walkways are clear and waste is disposed of properly. Report hazards, faulty equipment, or incidents immediately.
  5. Performance & Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to meet KPIs and service levels. Show initiative to improve efficiency and reduce damages. Demonstrate reliability, accuracy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid Reach Truck licence (mandatory).
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet targets.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Counterbalance and/or Pivot Steer (Bendi/Flexi) licences.
  • Experience with WMS and handheld scanners.
