Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative/Stores Person in Sheffield for a 3-6 month temporary contract. Responsibilities include stock-take, organisation, and general inventory duties. Ideal candidates will have experience in a warehouse environment and be computer literate. Competitive hourly pay ranges from £12.21 to £13.50 depending on experience.

Qualifications

Overview

Gi Group are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative/ Stores Person to work with our client, based in Sheffield- near Meadowhall, for a 3-6 month period.

Start date: 29/09/2025!

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting an accurate and thorough stock-take of engineering parts
• Organising and labelling stock where necessary
• Printing labels
• Inputting onto spreadsheets or laptop
• Supporting the store's manager with general inventory duties
• Ensuring stock records are up to date

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or stock-take environment preferred
• Basic computer literacy for recording stock (training provided if needed) word & excel
• Forklift licence (FLT) would be a strong advantage but not necessity
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently when required

Hours and pay

• Monday- Friday
• 08:00- 16:00
• 3-6 month temporary contract
• £12.21- £13.50 per hour, dependant on experience
