My client who is a leading e-commerce business in their chosen field is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team due to continued growth.

The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, shipping, receiving, and overall warehouse organisation. This role is critical in maintaining a high standard of safety, accuracy, and productivity within the warehouse while leading a team of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, excellent organisation skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
• Experienced working within a fast-paced warehousing environment dealing with next day deliveries
• Experienced Warehouse Manager that has overseen whole warehouse operations including Goods In, dispatch, order fulfilment and stock control
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping activities.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all warehouse activities.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure warehouse operations are meeting company standards and goals.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Coordinate with the purchasing and sales departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely order fulfilment.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring all assets are in good working condition.
• Manage warehouse budget, including labour, equipment, and operational costs, to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes, identifying areas for optimisation and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve issues, improve operations, and support company initiatives.
