Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Warehouse Manager for a permanent role in Newtownabbey. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operatives and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Proven experience in warehouse management and logistics is required. This position operates Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a warehouse management role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Solid knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and best practices.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret warehouse performance data.

Warehouse Manager

Gentech Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client based in Newtownabbey who are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the team of warehouse operatives and maintaining the highest working standards.
  • The planning and communicating of resources to ensure optimum utilisation and understanding of requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Enforcing and improving Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Overseeing the accurate picking, preparing and returning orders for our clients and production department.
  • Communicating with the Hire Operations Manager in relation to stock levels to ensure appropriate database updates and maintenance.
  • Overseeing the testing, preparation and maintenance of our equipment.
  • Planning and execution of daily logistics.
  • Upholding appropriate protocol and completing relevant documentation.
  • Managing vehicle inspection.
  • Ensuring the maintenance, cleanliness and working order of the premises and vehicles are upheld to PSI standards.
  • Complying with Health & Safety policies, Company Procedures and Standards.
