Main duties
  • Manages the ward and resources effectively, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and a suitable mix of nursing experience and skills, including rota management, annual leave and training arrangements.
  • Oversees the nursing staff rota and ensures rota management and rostering standards are maintained and effective.
  • Ensures all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD requirements and complete mandatory training.
  • Addresses shortfalls in development and ensures training and performance issues are addressed.

Priory Stockton Hall is looking to recruit a Ward Manager to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week. Priory Stockton Hall is a long-serving medium secure hospital near York, serving the local Provider Collaborative and multiple National Collaboratives, with a history of successful patient pathways.

You will be part of a compassionate team focused on patient wellbeing, using a personalised approach to support recovery. You will assist qualified staff with assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
