Job description
Overview

As the VP, Tax, Liberty Growth and Services you will be leading a team of individuals that will be advising senior management on the central Bermuda, UK, Liberty Growth & Services tax position of the LG group and Transfer Pricing related items. This involves multiple aspects of the business, related M&A and / or Corporate Development projects.

Responsibilities
  • Managing LG Ltd’s consolidated Bermuda, UK tax and Pillar 2 positions (including CFC position, UK International Movement of Capital rules and global Pillar 2 impact).
  • Develop, evaluate and implement tax planning strategies in the various jurisdictions that will help maximize company’s after-tax profit and cash flow from operations.
  • Execute tax projects to ensure tax objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify risks and exposures to overall LG worldwide tax position due to income tax rules application to wider LG group, including Pillar 2.
  • Ensure robust processes & controls around relevant tax compliance processes (in cooperation with Blume and/or external service providers) and review & sign off on relevant parts of the quarterly tax provision process & tax returns.
  • Initiate relevant updates & sign off on related LG Long Range Plan tax modules.
  • Develop, evaluate and implement a related Transfer Pricing strategy in the various jurisdictions.
  • Support and maintain relationship with tax authorities. Being able to manage this relationship in the context of current requirements of transparency and shareholders interest.
  • Foster environment in which all members of the central tax strategy team work as team to achieve goals and objectives for the group. Support high team engagement.
  • Take the lead in managing and developing the team’s knowledge around tax technical relevant developments.
  • Share past experiences and institutional knowledge/insights effectively both within and outside of tax department.
  • Management /optimization of external tax fees.
  • Grow & maintain MSA Revenue.
Qualifications
  • Corporate Tax knowledge within an international context. Experienced in leading complex transactions/planning in a tax efficient manner
  • Effective team leader experienced in building high performance teams
  • Effective and impactful in high pressure, ambiguous situations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, innovation & curious to seek out new opportunities & solutions
  • Excellent relationship builder. Works well in team environment (managers, peers, subordinates within tax department; other colleagues).
