Julian House is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.

Job Role: Volunteer Activities Support – Supporting Adults with Autism

Hours: 3-4 hours per week

Location: Bath

The Role:

We are actively recruiting for someone to volunteer a few hours a week at our central Bath property assisting the Service Manager and Support Worker in taking the clients out on activities/day trips both in and out of the property.

Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to tailor activities to the interests and abilities of participants both inside and outside the property. Ideas and Research about what activities to do would also be welcomed.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities.
  • Create a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Creative and energetic approach to designing and leading activities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Previous experience of working with ASD would be beneficial.
