Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Small Animal Practice, Southport

Work‑life balance – Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 9am–5pm, with no sole charge.

Supportive team – Join a friendly group of three vets, including a Lead Vet with 50 years’ experience.

Varied caseload – A great mix of consults, surgeries, and small animal medicine, with the occasional exotic.

Excellent facilities – State‑of‑the‑art equipment including X-ray, ultrasound, and in‑house lab.

Attractive package – Salary up to £75k (DOE), CPD allowance, memberships covered, and accommodation available.

The Team
  • A Lead Vet with over 50 years of experience.
  • A vet with 5 years of experience.
  • A newly graduated colleague eager to learn and grow.
The Role
  • Small animal caseload with the occasional rabbit, guinea pig, or bird.
  • A healthy mix of consultations and surgical procedures.
  • Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
  • No sole charge required.
  • Saturday work covered by the Lead Vet (with the option to take this on in future if desired).
Facilities & Services

State‑of‑the‑art diagnostics including X-ray, ultrasound, and a full in‑house laboratory. Runs pet health plans and is an approved Veterinary Nurse Training Practice.

Location

Southport offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle, combining Victorian charm with modern amenities. Beautiful beaches, historical architecture, and a friendly community feel make it a lovely place to live and work.
