Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon - Multi-Site Role Across South Wales
Salary: up to £80,000 DOE
Welcome Bonus: Up to £10,000

We are excited to offer a rare opportunity for an experienced Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team, working across three well-established practices in South Wales.
This full-time position is structured as follows:
- 2 days per week at South Wales Vets, Newport
- 1 day per week at Bridge Vets, Blackwood
- 1 day per week at Forest Vets, Skewen
About the Role
This position is ideal for a surgeon with a strong background in small animal orthopaedics and general surgery. You will be responsible for performing a range of procedures and consultations, supported by dedicated teams at each location. All practices are equipped with the necessary surgical suites and orthopaedic equipment to facilitate high-quality care.
Practice Highlights
- South Wales Vets, Newport: Our Newport facility has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, creating a modern and efficient environment. As a hub for orthopaedic referrals in the area, we are equipped with in-house laboratories, digital radiography, and a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine. Our team is committed to continuous improvement and values input that drives the practice forward.
- Bridge Vets, Blackwood: Located in Pontllanfraith, Blackwood, Bridge Vets boasts over 30 years of service to the community. The practice is RCVS-accredited and features two operating theatres, digital radiography, and a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine with Doppler capabilities. Additional facilities include an in-house laboratory, endoscopy, ECG, and separate wards for cats and dogs. The team comprises experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses, all committed to providing compassionate care.
- Forest Vets, Skewen: Situated in Skewen, Forest Vets is a trusted practice known for its commitment to pet health. The facility offers a range of services, including dentistry, microchipping, and wellness screenings. The practice is equipped with modern diagnostic tools and provides a supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Typically, the full-time position is 40 hours across 4 days between 8:30am to 7pm with no weekends and no OOH. We would also welcome part-time applicants, for example a 3-day week.
