At Huddersfield Vets for Pets, we’re committed to helping you grow. Whether you’re looking to develop specialist skills or explore new clinical interests, you’ll be supported every step of the way by our close-knit practice team and our highly experienced regional colleagues.
We’re a small, friendly and dedicated team. Our caseload is varied and reflective of a busy, well-established first‑opinion practice. If you’re looking for a place where you can make an impact and help shape a growing practice, this is a great opportunity.
This is a part‑time role ideally working every Tuesday & Friday 8:30am – 7:00pm with no on‑call or OOH commitments. Both days will be surgical days (but with consults as well before and after surgery). You should feel confident with routine surgical, including bitch spays for all breeds, and be comfortable with sole charge.
Alongside a salary of up to £70,000 (pro rata), you’ll receive a comprehensive benefits package including pension, private healthcare, paid memberships, excellent career progression opportunities and exclusive discounts‑including up to 20% off at Pets at Home. We’re also able to support relocation from within or outside the UK, including visa sponsorship (we are an A+ rated sponsor).
At Vets for Pets, everyone is welcome. Just as pets accept us as we are, we embrace and celebrate individuality. We’re committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and be their best.
We understand that great veterinary careers don’t come in a one‑size‑fits‑all package. That’s why many of our vet roles can be tailored to suit working parents or those needing school‑hour patterns. Whether it’s adjusted start and finish times, fewer days per week, or flexible rotas that fit around family commitments, we’re happy to have open conversations about what works for you. Our aim is to support you in building a fulfilling veterinary career that fits comfortably around life outside of work.
If you think you’d be a great fit for our team—and you share our belief that we’re truly better with pets—we’d love to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.
If you'd like any further information about this vacancy, the practice or our company please contact Jack from our Talent Acquisition team via email: COVet@vets4pets.com for an informal and confidential conversation.
