Overview

Vehicle Technician/Mechanic Trainer (Ministry of Defence) – Lyneham

Salary: £36,227 with progression to £38,787 once qualified, plus yearly pay rise and other benefits including fully funded Teacher Training Level 4, 37 hour week, tailored development and training programme, and entrance to pension and share schemes.

Role

This role involves the daily delivery of technical training in vehicle maintenance, adhering to curriculum guidelines and creating a secure training setting. You will contribute to course enhancement by incorporating new technologies and ensuring precise documentation of trainee assessments. Prior teaching experience isn’t necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided to attain a Level 4 teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training in vehicle maintenance, following curriculum and training materials, and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Develop and update course content, incorporate new technologies, and keep accurate records of trainee assessments. Design assessments, examinations, continuous evaluations, and invigilate examinations.
• Receive full training on teaching and course content; Level 4 teaching qualification fully funded with a pay increase after qualification.
