Overview

Vehicle Maintenance Technician/ Vehicle Mechanic

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician/Vehicle Mechanic looking for a new challenge? This role is part of an integral delivery programme for an MOD contract. Based out of one of the Service Centres in the UK, you may be required to travel in the UK and overseas on occasions.

What you\'ll be doing
  • Fault finding, break downs, planned preventative maintenance and pre-delivery inspection of equipment.
  • Service and maintenance of materials handling and plant equipment in support of the MOD.
  • Ensure customer service is kept to a high level and address any queries.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and policies set out by customers and the business.
What you\'ll need
  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or similar with experience on working on either HGV/MHE/Vehicle Maintenance, Engines/Motors or similar.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary £36,691 (subject to annual increases) plus an additional £3,000 bonus for maintaining Sponsored Reserve status which takes it to £39,691.

Overtime is paid at 1.5x Monday to Friday and 2x at weekends. You will also receive pay enhancements when deployed on MOD assignments.
