Job description

Overview

The company is a well established car repair and body work garage that has been trading for well over 30 years. They are a staple in the local community and value long-serving staff.

Role

Vehicle service technician required due to expansion. Based from the workshop in Watford.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing cars and vans, using computer diagnostics machines to fault-find and repair the faults.

Schedule

• Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and every other Saturday morning (8:00am – 1:00pm). Saturday time is paid as overtime.

Skills and Experience

• Living within travelling distance to Watford in Hertfordshire.
• Ideally 5+ years working as a car mechanic/technician with electrics and diagnostics.
• Having MOT experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• High standard of work and ideally NVQ level 3 standard as a minimum.
• A long-term perspective on the role – they are seeking a long-term employee.

• Basic salary 30–32k depending on diagnostics experience.
• Overtime rate of x1.5 for Saturday hours, with an extra approx. 2k per year.
