Vehicle Prepper

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Corby
Salary: £14.48 – £15.55 per hour

Pure Staff Ltd are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Prepper to join our client’s Bodyshop team in Corby.

This role plays a vital part in the daily production of the Bodyshop department, helping to achieve production targets while ensuring vehicles are finished to the highest customer standards. You will be working across a range of vehicles, from small family cars to light commercial vehicles, within a professional and supportive team environment.

Your Role as a Vehicle Prepper

• Preparing vehicles for paint, including masking, sanding and priming panels
• Checking prepared panels to ensure there are no defects
• Working on a range of vehicles including cars and light commercial units
• Following set processes and standards to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective work
• Supporting the Bodyshop team in other areas when required
• Checking all work prior to starting to ensure repair standards are met
• Completing accurate parts requisitions
• Working efficiently to meet deadlines and production targets
• Maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bodyshop Technician / Vehicle Prepper
• Full valid UK driving licence (manual & automatic) – essential
• Must be 21+ and have held a driving licence for at least 2 years (insurance requirements)
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
• Excellent attention to detail
• Passion for the motor industry and pride in producing high‑quality work
• Willingness to support junior technicians when required

Pay & Shifts

• Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 16:00
