Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Veeam Engineer to join an infrastructure team in London. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication, focusing on designing and maintaining enterprise-grade backup solutions. Responsibilities include managing Veeam solutions, optimizing backup configurations, resolving performance issues, and ensuring disaster recovery strategies are implemented effectively. Strong hands-on experience with Veeam is essential, along with skills in VMware or Hyper-V, and general infrastructure management.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication (v11/v12 preferred).
• Expertise in replication, backup architecture, and DR failover processes.
• Solid understanding of VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technologies and network fundamentals.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux (optional), and general infrastructure administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Veeam Backup & Replication solutions.
• Configure and optimize backup jobs, replication jobs, and storage integrations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backup/replication failures.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies.
• Manage repository capacity and storage best practices.
• Work with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure compliance.
• Maintain documentation and operational checklists.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve data protection.
