Job description
Overview

The post holder will work as a team member in the Vascular Specialist Nursing service in conjunction with the medical team. The role involves a full range of clinical and managerial support duties with a primary responsibility for providing advanced clinical care in the management of vascular patients at ward and outpatient clinic levels.

Responsibilities
  • Carry continuing responsibility for a defined caseload, including setting standards of care, assessing care needs, and developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care.
  • Provide specialised nursing advice specific to the Specialist Vascular Nursing service and its patient group.
  • Contribute to the development of the speciality service and support the strategic direction of nursing within the Trust.
  • Manage and lead a specialist team and be responsible for the effective use of clinical team resources.
