Overview

Van Driver near Orpington • £14.50 per hour • Temporary to Permanent. Partner Recruitment are partnering with a well-established engineering company near Orpington who are looking to recruit a Van Driver / General Factory Hand on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a varied, hands-on role where approximately 60% of the position will involve driving, with the remaining time supporting packing, workshop and general factory duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving the company van daily (around 60% of the role), including collection from storage each morning and return at the end of the day
  • Delivery and collection of goods to customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Packing goods correctly for delivery via company van and courier
  • Running general driving errands as required
  • Keeping the van clean, tidy and carrying out basic checks
  • Completing and submitting mileage records
  • Cleaning and sweeping workshop areas as instructed
  • Washing mop heads and cloths using on-site facilities
  • Ensuring water softener is stocked with salt
  • Cleaning and maintaining workshop storage boxes
  • Assisting with assembly work when required
  • Shredding and other ad-hoc duties during quieter periods
About You
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Comfortable with manual, hands-on work
  • Able to pack items carefully and correctly
  • Reliable, organised and flexible in approach
  • Happy to support different departments as needed
